Care and preservation

Every The Florist bouquet is prepared by hand to last. With a few simple steps, fresh roses stay perfect for 10 to 15 days and preserved roses adorn your home for 3 to 5 years.

Fresh roses
Three steps for the first weeks
Choose the spot
A cool place with indirect light, away from windows with strong sun, radiators and ripe fruit.
Water after one week
About seven days later, add a little water between the roses, without taking them out of the box.
Remove what wilts
If an outer petal wilts first, remove it gently to keep the bouquet immaculate.
Preserved roses
Six rules to last for years
Never water
Water ruins the preservation process. The roses need nothing to keep their shape and colour.
Indirect light
Direct sun fades the colour over time. A shelf or a table away from the window is ideal.
No humidity
Bathrooms and kitchens are not the best place. Humidity softens the petals.
Away from heat
Radiators, fireplaces and electronic devices dry out the petals and shorten the life of the roses.
Dust gently
A hairdryer on cool air and minimum power, held at a distance, or a soft brush.
Moving home
Always carry the box upright and well supported, and never leave it in a car in the sun.
What to avoid
- Mixing fresh flowers with preserved ones
- Touching the petals more than necessary
- Spraying perfume or water
- Window sills in direct sun
- Steam from kitchens and bathrooms
- Draughts and busy walkways
